The Team

Lindsay Stevens, Founder & Executive Director

A seasoned music industry, live events veteran, and award-winning sustainable events producer, Lindsay Stevens’ expertise spans 26+ years. She is the decade-long Founder and Executive Director of Rock the Green, a nonprofit with a mission to engage and empower the community to take eco-actionable steps to live, work, and play.

As a large-scale event producer that produced hundreds of events, tours, and festivals around the country, Lindsay understood that these types of events generated tons of waste and wanted to create a festival that was different – one that looked at every aspect of production and greened it step-by-step, from the ground up. By making conscious production decisions and creating innovative energy and waste methods we CAN have all of the music without the waste. It was from this vision that Rock the Green was born!

Lindsay’s career began in the music industry in 1994 when she joined the radio promotion department at WAR? Records in Boulder, CO., working for RTG Board Member, Jason Martin. Lindsay then charted her own course in record promotion by creating a AAA format record promotions agency, LuLu Promotions Inc., whose first client was The Dave Matthews Band. She relocated to San Francisco in 1998 and joined award-winning experiential marketing agency, On Board Experiential, as Vice President of Events & Touring. As a full-service agency specializing in action sports, music, and lifestyle marketing, Lindsay produced numerous campaigns and events for Nike, Red Bull, Sega, Budweiser, SoBe, K2, Ford, Cabo Wabo, and many other companies to create and produce a wide array of music festivals, concert tours, promotional campaigns, sporting events, gaming competitions, launch parties and more.

Lindsay has had a bond with nature and the outdoors since she was a young girl. While living in the French Alps for several years in the early ’90s, Lindsay became an accomplished mountaineer and competitive rock climber. Prior to joining WAR? Records in Boulder, she was a PSIA certified ski instructor at Beaver Creek.

While not rockin' the green, Lindsay is rockin' life and adventures with 4 kids, 10 chickens, 3 rats, a ball python, and sweet rescue dog, Poppy-cakes (thank you Wisconsin Humane Society!). Lindsay continues her passion for mountaineering, rock climbing, and backcountry skiing.
